BEACH FESTIVAL

The Goa Seafood Festival to be held from February 9 to 11, 2024 on the Miramar beach in Panjim has run into rough weather.

Former CCP corporator Patricia Pinto from Panjim and 11 others have knocked on the doors of the High Court against the event being held on the beach.

COURT TO DECIDE

In their plea before the court, they contended that holding the festival on the beach for three days will cause ecological damage.

FINAL VERDICT

The government will file the affidavit in court on Wednesday morning (February 7) and the latter will deliver its final verdict in the matter.

The petitioners have maintained that according to government policy, food festivals on all beaches in the State have been banned.
