MATIECHEM FEST

First up is the Matiechem Fest 2024 that will take place at Pilerne, North Goa, on October 2. In its third edition, the festival will display Goa's rich cultural heritage featuring a wide array of activities.

MAKHAROTSAV

Unlike the rest of India, in Goa, Navratri honours nine forms of goddess Durga at Makharotsav, where the deity is placed in a wooden swing (makhar) and swung all night, a sight worth witnessing this October.

GOA'S BIGGEST RUN

An event that motivates all towards a healthier lifestyle, the RG Marathon Championship will take place in Goa this October 13 with 5K, 10K and 21K categories.

COLVA FAMA

A religious celebration where thousands gather to seek the blessings of Infant Jesus, the Colva Fama will take place at the Church of Our Lady of Merces, in Colva on the third Monday of October.

OKTOBER FEST 2024

Mark your calendars; Oktoberfest Circus is coming to Goa. The three-day celebration, taking place on October 25, 26 and 27 will feature live performances, food stalls, flea markets and more.

NARKASUR

At Diwali celebrations in Goa, large effigies of the demon, Narkasur, are made and displayed along roadsides. These creatives are later set on fire, marking the triumph of good over evil.
