Wagro, a Goan love tale, to be screened at 53rd IFFI

Wagro will be screened in the non-feature film section of Indian panorama at the 53rd International Film Festival of India to be held in Goa this November.

The film was shot for two days in Surla-Sankhali in December 2021.

The film, made by young Goan filmmaker Sainath Uskaikar, was screened at the Festival de Cannes 2022 (France) in the short film category.

It was also screened at the Goa Marathi Film Festival 2022 in August.

Wagro means 'place of sacrifice'. The film is based on a love story of a couple trapped in circumstances trying to find where they belong and want to belong.

Uskaikar with sound designer of Wagro Bishwadeep Dipak Chatterjee, who is know for his work in films like 3 Idiots, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Bajirao Mastani, Brahmastra) and (below) producer of the film Rajesh R Pednekar and Uskaikar at Cannes Film Festival (France) red carpet.
