Tourist boats face music for negligence and overloading

The Goa Captain of Ports authorities seized five passenger boats for overloading and operating without valid license.

The boats were seized in a surprise inspection at Candolim and Sinquerim on Friday, January 20, 2023.

The influx of tourists has led the operators to accommodate more commuters than the permitted capacity.

The CoP authorities said many of the operators are functioning without proper licenses and training.
