On the morning of Good Friday, the Way of the Cross was held inside the Cabo de Rama Fort, Canacona.
The Way of the Cross has been held here for as long as anyone can remember.
The prayer service was attended by Catholic parishioners of the Cabo de Rama village.
Participants of different age groups -- young and old -- were seen attending the services.
In Goa, it is customary to have the Way of the Cross in all parishes early in the morning on Good Friday.
A big wooden cross, depicting Christ's journey to Calvary, was carried during the prayer recitation.
The villagers took turns carrying the cross at each station.
What makes this particular Way of the Cross unique is that it happens within the fort premises.
