This is how the Holy Oils of Goa's Catholic Church were blessed

The annual blessing of the Holy Oils was done at the Chrism Mass, which was held on March 30, 2023, this year.

The mass was held at Se Cathedral, in Old Goa.

This special mass began at 10 am and was attended by representatives of parishes from all over Goa.

The mass was held in the presence of his eminence Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao and various representatives from the archdiocese of Goa.

During this mass, the cardinal blessed the Oil of the Catechumens (Oleum Catechumenorum), the Oil of the Sick (Oleum Infirmorum), and consecrated the Holy Chrism Oil (Sacrum Chrisma).

The oils were then given to the representatives of the different parishes.

The Holy Oils are an important element in the life of Catholics, and are blessed once a year.

In his homily, Cardinal Ferrao reminded the priests of their pastoral duties and invited the people to participate in faith formation programmes.

At the end of the mass, the pastoral diary was released by his eminence Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao.
