EMBELLISHED IDOLS

Shubham started using this innovative method of idol decoration eight years back. And, it's captured the imagination of people. This year alone, he has received around 250 idols to embellish.

WORKING THE MAGIC

The Ganesha idols are dropped off a few weeks before Chaturthi and Shubham works his magic on each of them, creating a different design on each murthi.

STONE-STUDDED

The different coloured and shaped rhinestones are handpicked and are brought from Kolhapur in Maharashtra to Goa. They are then stuck on the idol using glue and other adhesives.

LABOUR OF DEVOTION

It takes Shubham around 4-5 hours to decorate a Ganesha of around five feet and one hour to stud an one-foot Ganesha.
