Continuous pounding by the monsoons on Wednesday led to flooding in most parts of the capital city, Panjim.
Flooding of the city roads made it difficult for people to walk on the streets.
Due to poor visibility conditions, the wheels of many vehicles ended up getting stuck in the ditches, drains and potholes, that pepper the smart city of Panjim.
Submerged roads and incessant rains caused heavy traffic jams in the capital city, with vehicles moving at snail's pace, making it challenging for commuters to reach their destinations on time.
Several questions were raised on the kind of shoddy work and planning undertaken by the Corporation of City of Panjim (CCP) and the Smart City Initiative.
