Whether you were born and brought up in Goa, or visited its coastline during family vacations, Goan nostalgia is always a starter pack of the sun, sand, seafood, solace and the sea.

NO GOOD IN BYE

Beach picnics, with not a care in the world, were embraced tighter than usual knowing that soon, returning to school meant waving goodbye to the friendly sea.

TWILIGHT TASTE

As twilight took over and fresh seafood filled our bellies, the salty air ruffled our hair as part of the last affectionate game that the sea played while we dined at the shack on its shore.

SANDY SOUVENIRS

Never wanting to say goodbye, the beach sent home souvenirs of sand in our shoes and clung onto our toes as we carried grains of it back home.

SHORE FRIENDS

Dusting them off at the threshold of the house to avoid getting a scolding, who would tell mum that bringing the sand back home was just like bringing an old friend home for a chance to play a little longer?

WAY BACK HOME

Eventually, entering the bathroom was the final goodbye as we watched the sand go down the drain which took it back home to the sea.
