Mixing and matching, the 7th edition of Ultimate Bartender Championship by Monkey Shoulder, was held at Vamos, a restaurant in Vagator.

The event was organised by William Grant & Sons, owners of the free-spirited blended malt brand.

COCKTAIL GUYS

Dressed in black T-shirts, with the phrase ‘skills pay bills’, these dapper bartenders gathered around the bar-counter mixing, moving and shaking various drinks to win the bartender championship.

RAISING THE BAR

With the focus being on essential skills of a bartender, over 50 participants, from restaurants and colleges in Goa participated in the contest in hopes of becoming national mixology champions.

PERFECT SPIRIT-MIX

As per the competition, participants had to quiz, mix, pour, nose and nail the perfect six drinks to serve.

THE WINNING SPIRITS

The top finalists from Goa were Sujan Shetty from Slow Tide and Radhika S from Miguel's Cocktails & Petiscos.

'SKILLS PAY BILLS'

The championship was structured to test the upcoming bartenders in India and ascertain their proficiency on all aspects of bartending to ensure that in the long run- skills pay the bills.
