UP FOR THE CHALLENGE

The Miramar shore in Panjim came alive on Sunday, October 27, as athletes from all across India and abroad jumped into the water to compete in the Goa Ironman 70.3 - 2024 race.

CHASING HORIZON

The racers took off exactly at 7 am slicing through the early morning stillness into the cool embrace of the sea.

ONE CHALLENGE DONE

The athletes swam the challenging 1.9 km swim course, the first challenge, fuelled by determination to finish the race in good time.

OVER TO NEXT

Emerging from the water, the athletes transitioned to the cycling leg to face a demanding 90 km on their bikes to capture Goa's challenging terrain.

WAVE OF SUPPORT

The kayak rescue volunteers appeared super excited as they kept an eye on every swimmer for any signs of struggle and ensured they (the swimmers) navigated the water safely.

CALL OF THE ROAD

After the swim, the 90-km ride put to test the athletes' endurance and strength, making them push their limits.

DETERMINED

Once on their bikes, the athletes had to quickly adjust their mental focus to face the varied terrain, a real test of their endurance strategy.

TWO WHEELS, ONE GOAL

The road challenge in an Ironman race is more than just a test of physical endurance as the athletes have to keep a reserve to complete the 21 km run after the 90-km cycling is complete.
