Konsachem Fest was celebrated by locals at Our Lady of Snows, in Raia, with great pomp and gusto on August 5.

SHOWERS OF BLESSING

Despite the heavy cloud burst, Goa's Auxiliary Bishop Fr Simiao Fernandes walked through the procession.

BLESSED HARVEST

The bishop blessed the bountiful harvest and cut the sheaves of grains with a silver sickle. These paddies sheaves are adorned at the main alter of the church.

FARMERS' HARD WORK

The unique celebration acknowledges the hard work of farmers, who provide foodgrains to Goans.

MUSIC FOR THE LORD

The parish youth put up a live brass band - Alvorada de Musica - for the feast mass.

FESTIVE FAIR

No feast is complete without a fair. From freshly baked grams and khaje, utensils and clothes were sold at the venue.
