FENI-LACED MOMENTS

Feni – made from cashew and coconut - dates back to the Portuguese era; may have existed even before that. In olden days, distilleries at most cashew and coconut plantations made feni for home consumption.

RAISE A TOAST TO FENI

This Goan drink is very popular with tourists and has been commercialised by some far-sighted entrepreneurs. Feni brands like Aani Ek, Cajulo and Goenchi Feni fly off the shelves as quickly as other liquor brands.   

ALCHEMY OF GIN

There must be something about gin that it has caught the fancy of so many Goan distillers. The list of gin brands from Goa runs long – Matinee Gin, Greater Than, Stranger & Son, Seqer, Terry Sent Me!, Satiwa, Tamas, Hapusa, etc.

BREEZY BEER 

Beer and Goa evoke the feeling of being carefree. It’s no wonder then that many beer brands have emerged from here - Eight Finger Eddie, Maka Di, Peoples, Kings, Susegado and other such labels.
