He adopted and rescued several dogs, one of who was Goa — a black and white dog who shared a special bond with Tata and became his office companion.

WHY GOA?

Goa jumped into Tata’s colleague’s car during a visit to the State of Goa, taking him all the way to Bombay House. Hence, the adopted dog was named 'Goa'.

CARING ABODE

The Tata Group head office and Goa's home, Bombay House, has special accommodations for stray dogs, where they are nurtured and cared for.

ANIMAL WELFARE 

Tata was fond of dogs since childhood, and he demonstrated his undying love for dogs and animals through his actions in support of animal welfare time and again.

Tata always encouraged others to adopt needy, stray dogs rather than buy pets. Although his social media presence was limited, he used it as a platform to promote animal welfare, urging families to adopt rescued dogs

Tata was also the founder of the Small Animal Hospital in Mumbai, dedicated to providing the best medical care for pets in need.
