Poll votes Goa as India's 2nd best food place

Yes, Goa’s beaches have bedazzled you, but it is also reaching your heart through your stomach. That is what a poll of food experts, which rated domestic tourist destinations for their food quotient, found out.

THE SECOND-BEST

The poll, whose findings are published in The Godrej Food Trends Report 2024, ranks Goa as India’s 2nd best food destination, after Kashmir, with a score of 82 per cent. Kashmir clinched the top spot with score of 84.2 per cent.

The report claims food enthusiasts flock to Goa for its wide spread of culinary choices – from local to exotic. Yes, if you are someone who travels for food experiences then just one trip to Goa will not be enough.

SOUL FOOD

You’ll be awestruck by the variety of cuisines on Goa’s platter. But, there’s nothing more soul satisfying than Goa’s humble fish curry or prawn curry and rice, washed down with the kokum drink – sol curry.
