Students have a tough time navigating their way through piles of mud as they exit Mary Immaculate Girls' High School, Panjim, Goa.
The road in front of Mary Immaculate Girls' High School has been dug up as part of the Smart City development work that is currently underway in the city.
With mounds of rubble all around, the children are greatly inconvenienced while entering and exiting the school premises.
The work is part of the central government's Smart Cities Mission for the country.
The Smart City Mission was launched in 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Several places in the capital city of Panjim have been dug up, which is not only creating hardships for commuters and residents, but is dangerous, too.
People and students are eagerly waiting for the work to be completed so that the road is motorable, and life is back to normal, once more.
