On October 2, 2024, the village of Pilerne in North Goa celebrated the much-awaited 'Matiechem Fest 3.0', a festival that showcases and celebrates Goa and its culture.

GRAND CELEBRATION

Villagers from each vaddo of Pilerne came together to make it a grand and memorable event, highlighting Goa’s heritage and community spirit.

AMCHI MATI, AMCHO AWAZ

This year’s theme, ‘Amchi Mati, Amcho Awaz,’ (Our Soil, Our Voice) emphasised the need to protect and safeguard our land and environment, responding to the issue of land conversion.

CELEBRATING NATURE

Floats, highlighting love for mother nature and the importance of preserving traditional occupations, were presented.

DANCE PARADES

The youth and kids, dressed in traditional Goan attire, danced and performed to folk music, underlining the beauty of Goa’s folk culture.
