Jailed in splendour at Goa's Aguada Jail

Goa's G20 summit has brought to the fore a different narrative of Goa other than the touristy one.

JAIL & SPLENDOUR

Jail and splendour are hardly synonymous, yet the G20 delegates in Goa were given a dose of Goa's rich biodiversity during their official engagement at the newly renovated 17th Aguada Jail Complex.

GUESTS IN TOWN

The delegates were in town to attend the 4th Tourism Working Group Meeting in Goa which was held at the Aguada Jail Complex in Sinquerim.

THEME NIGHT

The event was expertly curated by a team at Aguada in collaboration with National Institute of Design (NID) alumnus Kritika Malhotra and the theme was ‘Goan Monsoon Forest’.

IMMERSED IN NATURE

An immersive experience, the function was brought to life through video projections, sounds of the rain, birds chirping, forest sounds and gushing waterfalls.

THE GOAN STYLE

...And all this happened while sitting in the warm company of delicious Goan cuisine, beverages and Konkani music.

CHOSEN ONE

Goa has been chosen as one of the venues for the G20 meet in 2023.
