1. SHACKS & RESTAURANTS ON THE BEACH

Goa's seaside shacks are popular not just for their great food, but more for their awesome sea views. However, these shut shop during the monsoons since it is the off season and also due to the rising sea levels and poor weather conditions at this time of the year.

2. DUDHSAGAR WATERFALLS

A favourite tourist spot in Goa, this waterfall is closed during the monsoons due to safety reasons. Slippery routes, strong water currents and a high flow of water make these spots hazardous at this time of year.

3. WATERSPORTS & ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES

Goa's popular watersports activities do not operate during the monsoons since the rough seas are dangerous for such sports.

4. HOMESTAYS & HUTS ALONG THE BEACH

While shacks and restaurants on the coastal belt are closed during the monsoons, the same applies to homestays and huts on the coast, too, which re-open only when the tourist season kicks off post the monsoons.

5. CURDI

Sometimes known as the 'Atlantis of Goa', this village is best visited during the summer since it is located in the reservoir of Selaulim Dam. During the monsoons, the water levels rise, submerging the village, making it inaccessible during the rains.
