The tisreos (clams) are broken open and then the dishes are prepared by following recipes passed down through generations.

The menfolk too take part in cooking clams in big vessels, signifying the importance of sharing work and cooperation.

In the evening, a litany is held to express gratitude for the harvest of clams and the blessings of the sea.

After the litany, the cooked tisreos are distributed amongst the villagers. Young and old alike relish the traditional dish.
