RESTORATION AND PROTECTION OF THE MANDOVI

The newly constructed ‘Tapoloka’ Yog Kshetra, an arch bridge near the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), Panjim, was recently inaugurated as part of the restoration and protection of the coastline of the River Mandovi.

TAPOLOKA YOG KSHETRA INAUGURATED

Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, along with Panjim MLA, Babush Monserrate; and Mayor of Panjim, Rohit Monserrate; and others inaugurated the bridge on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2023.

THE PROJECT

The project was spearheaded by Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited and implemented by the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (GSIC).

AIM OF YOG SETU

The project aims to encourage the well-being of individuals and the community through yoga.

WHAT YOU'LL SEE

One can find Sinha Dwar (Lion gate), Yog Setu (Bridge), Yog Stambh (Pillar), Yog Dalan, Yog Mandal, Yog Path, Pranayam Kshetra, Astang Yog Kshetra, and the statue of Gomantbhumi Janak Parshuram.

COST OF THE PROJECT

The total cost of this project is estimated to be 33,68,06,755.

BOOSTING TOURISM

Goa's Chief Minister said that the government intends to boost the tourism sector in the region through this project.
