CAREER SHIFT

Vinaya transitioned from an 8-year career in advertising in Mumbai to pursuing her childhood passion for doodling and working with fabric in Goa.

CHILDHOOD INSPIRATION

Growing up, Vinaya was inspired by her mother, who stitched most of the clothes for them and even for her dolls. This early exposure to sewing and creativity laid the foundation for her future endeavours.

ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS

Upon learning about the environmental impact of textile waste, Vinaya decided to create products using surplus fabric that would otherwise end up in landfills.

REDUCE WASTE

Not only does upcycling reduce waste, but it also minimises the carbon footprint of her products. And, she puts scrap to good use knowing well that some fabrics take over 200 years to disintegrate.

Since last year, Vinaya and a friend have been working on reusable rakhis which can also be worn as brooches.
