Back in the day, the Goan farmer was at the center of every village. Using his plow and following nature’s rhythm, he brought in the harvest regularly.

FISHERMAN

The Goan fisherman patiently faces the morning tides. His little traditional boat comes back home with the freshest fish, feeding his family and also the villagers.

COCONUT PLUCKER

Coconut palms stand tall, and their fruits are prized in every Goan home. A skilled coconut climber can easily climb these trees. Thanks to him, every kitchen had, and still has, fresh coconut milk and oil in their meals.

LOCAL ARTISANS

From hand-woven baskets to detailed wood carvings, the work of Goan artisans was once a key part of everyday life. These crafts were more than mere objects; they were symbols of pride, made by hands that understood the land and its culture.

There was a time when every Goan home looked forward to the sound of the poder's (baker's) horn. On his bicycle, he would bring warm, freshly baked traditional bread every single day.
