The airport is located in the Pernem taluka in North Goa. While Dabolim airport is a good choice for passengers staying in South Goa, the Mopa airport proves to be a better choice for the people of North Goa and neighbouring states.

The airport is spread across an area of 2,132 acres, and is capable of handling 4.4 million passengers per annum in Phase 1, and will be expanded as passenger traffic grows.
At the airport, one can find dedicated check-in counters, lounges for passengers, multiple F&B areas, shopping outlets, etc.
People can purchase a variety of souvenirs and other items from Goa at the store called 'Tinto' at the airport.
