Mega Job fair was held at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Taleigao, on November 8 and 9, 2022.
The event was planned for a day but the registration number was so high that it was extended for another day.
Around 18,500 candidates registered for the event on the online portal.
There were around 5,500 vacancies provided by the companies.
A board showed the number of vacancies each company was offering.
The job fair commenced at 9 am and ended the next day at 5 pm.
Some of the sectors that were recruiting are logistics, automobiles, healthcare, telecom and hospitality.
The government also anounced that a similar job fair will be held in Margao in the next three months.
