LEARNING TO CARVE

A coconut carving workshop, led by Sivarao Kshirasagara, was recently held at Carpe Diem Art Centre in Majorda, South Goa.

LEARNING FROM SCRATCH

From learning to break coconuts the right way to scraping, cleaning and joining them – it was all taught at the session.

CRAFTING MAGIC

The participants were taught how to neatly join two halves of a coconut to create a perfect mug and pen holder, among other things.

FINISHING TOUCHES

The session ended with the participants polishing the coconut cups to give them perfect finish.

COCONUT ART

Sivarao also showcased a number of his coconut creations such as spoons, bowls, flower vases, soap boxes, mobile phone stands and more, which proved to be an inspiration to the participants of the workshop.
