The market is a haven for those who want to take home Goa’s culinary delights. Overseas tourists and locals buy loads of smoked sausages to last them till they return for more.
Locals punctuate their shopping by stopping at their favourite cafes and snack joints to sink their teeth into Goan delicacies like pao-bhaji and buns.
Most shops at the market open their doors at around 9 am, take a lunch break at 1 pm and then reopen at around 3 pm. They close for the day at around 8 pm.
