DANCING TO GOAN FOLK SONGS

Local folk troupes danced to traditional songs, such as Hanv Saiba Poltodi Vetam, as they showcased a variety of Goa’s unique dances.

BASKET WEAVING

Guests got a chance to try their hands at traditional handicrafts such as basket weaving and mollam-making using coconut leaves.

MAGIC OF POTTERY

There's nothing like the feel of wet clay on your hands -- one of Goa’s oldest professions was making clay pots, and this was featured at the event.

BREWING 'FENI'

One of the activities revolved around feni -- understanding how it's brewed, how toddy is extracted as well as the process of making feni.

BAKING FISH IN HAY

Back in the day, what would the locals do when cooking gas was non-existent? Bake fish in dried hay! And, this demo at the event piqued the interest of quite a number of guests.

The Goan buffet showcased a delightful spread, with a variety of Goan dishes – from Caldin, to sanna to ukde xit and prawn curry being on the menu.
