Artisans from West Bengal arrived in Goa three months before Durga Puja to craft over 20 Durga Maa idols, which are made in Vasco.

OVER HALF A CENTURY

This year marks the 58th celebration of Durga Puja by the Goa Banga Samiti in Vasco, with the first celebration having been held in 1967.

Vasco is home to over 200 Bengali families, and they participate in the Durga Puja festivities with great enthusiasm every year.
