Catch the waves and the sunset on this picturesque route near Panjim

If there's one thing that you can expect to find in most parts of Goa, it's stunning views. Here's a beautiful stretch of road that you shouldn't miss on your next visit to North Goa.

FEAST FOR THE EYES

Lined with pretty houses and lush vegetation, the route from Verem to Nerul is a picturesque one, complete with lovely views of the River Mandovi, and a cool sea breeze, too.

BIRD'S-EYE VIEW

The route includes the Reis Magos church and fort, both of which are centuries-old and are a must-see for their history and architecture. The fort offers amazing aerial views of the river as well as the capital city of Panjim in the distance.

CATCH THE SUN

A little space outside the majestic Reis Magos fort is a great place where one can hangout in the evenings and catch a glimpse of a beautiful sunset as well.

SERENE SPACE

Continue driving on the Verem-Nerul route, and you'll soon reach Kegdole, a secluded beach, where touristy crowds are non-existent.

LAST STOP

This route ends at the village of Nerul, beyond which, the road leads to Fort Aguada and the famous Goan beaches of Candolim, Calangute and Baga.

TIMING IS EVERYTHING

The best time to take a trip along this stretch is early in the mornings and late in the evenings, at sunset, when you can catch the best views.
