Birders get the avian thrills at Maina-Curtorim bird walk

The 83rd Monthly Bird Walk of Goa Bird Conservation Network at Maina-Curtorim wetlands gave serious birders an opportunity to identify different bird species in Goa.

The birders started the walk at 7.30 am which is the perfect time for sighting avian visitors.

A common kingfisher, which is found along rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds.

Indian whistling ducks or lesser whistling teals and (below) a Siberian stonechat.
