MANGAL YATRA

On this auspicious day at the break of dawn, a procession -- Mangal Yatra -- of people holding saffron flags wended its way through the town and concluded at the Shantadurga Higher Secondary School.

TRADITIONAL FERVOUR

It was heartwarming to see people come together in traditional fervour to commemorate this special day and stay connected to their cultural heritage and roots.

Women added to the celebratory atmosphere by joining in the procession with their traditional dance.

GUDI AND RITUALS

The gudi, a symbol of victory and prosperity, was ceremoniously hoisted to mark the day, followed by prayers to seek the blessings of the deities.

FLAGBEARERS

It was heartening to see children's involvement in the celebration. The participation of children ensures that this rich tradition is carried forward.

COMMUNITY BONDING
