Goa's most refreshing summer drink, Kokum soda. Kokum grows wild in the forests of the Western Ghats.
Raw Goan mangoes are used to make a refreshing drink, locally known as panh or panak. Panak is also prepared in Goan households.
Summer has arrived and so has Urrak, Goa's famous drink. So pack some punch with a dash of lime mixed with ice-cold Sprite or Limca.
Replenish yourself with water of tender coconut which are found in plenty along the Goan highways and internal roads.
Also, do not forget watermelon juice or just a slice of it. It is better to have it refrigerated.
Sugarcane juice is also readily available along the roadsides for some quick relief from the heat.
Also, not forgetting the North Indian flavour, lassi (buttermilk). If you have yogurt, water, salt, sugar and some ice, you are done.
Nimbu pani or Indian lemonade, this universal drink is found all throughout the year on any street corner of Goa.
