BE AWARE

The high temperatures in Goa can become unpleasant, especially when combined with the humidity. Therefore, if you visit during the summer, it is important to be aware of which places to visit and which ones to avoid.

1) CROWDED BEACHES

Due to their popularity, beaches like Calangute, Baga, and Miramar in North Goa tend to get crowded. Therefore, it is recommended to explore beaches such as Bambolim and Siridao, which are closer to Panjim.

2) WATERFALLS

In summer, most of the waterfalls in Goa become dry, and the ones that continue to flow in trickles. As a result, it is strongly advised against trekking to the waterfalls or visiting them.

3) SPRINGS

Similar to waterfalls, springs also experience drying up, although there are a few exceptions such as Batim and Curca that you may still find flowing, but, again, in trickles.

Markets, flea markets in particular, in Goa provide a variety of products. These markets often become crowded, especially during the summer months when many of them conclude their operations.

5) FORTS

It is advisable to avoid visiting forts in the afternoon. Since most forts lack shaded areas for protection from the sun, the ideal time to visit them would be in the mornings or later in the day when the sun is not too harsh.
