In a significant shift for event planning in Goa, the government has recently revised its scrutiny fees for beach weddings and other events.

PRICE TAG

The fee is set at a staggering Rs 1 lakh per day, a notable increase from the previous structure, which charged Rs 1 lakh for up to five days, with an additional Rs 10,000 for each extra day.

NOT EASY

The State Environment Dept has revised the scrutiny fees for the applications submitted to the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) to this effect.

WELCOME RELIEF

However, there is a silver lining. The government has announced a 75 per cent concession for government corporations, autonomous bodies, charitable trusts, schools and institutions.
