Devotees from across Goa gathered at Narve, Bicholim, to celebrate the annual Ashtamichi zatra on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
Devotees who visit Narve, Bicholim, have a strong belief that their prayers will get answered.
Puja and other rituals are performed on the banks of the rivers. Some even take a bath in the river with the belief that by doing so their sins will be washed away.
At the tirth, Bel and Tulsi are offered to remember the near and dear departed souls.
On the occasion of ashtami, you will find neighbouring villages carrying their respective deities in palanquins and gathering at Narve.
Any occasion in Goa is incomplete without a fair. At Narve, too, you can expect stalls selling Goan sweets, clothes, jewellery and household items on the occasion of ashtami.
