Artist Puja imparts her tie-dye skills at Carpe Diem, Majorda

COLOURFUL CREATIONS

On October 27th, the Carpe Diem Art and Learning Centre hosted a vibrant indigo tie-dye workshop led by artist Puja Guha.

INDIGO IMMERSION

The workshop took place from 11 am to 1 pm, attracting a diverse group of participants eager to explore the art of tie-dyeing.

KNOWLEDGE IN ACTION

From combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, Puja had a comprehensive introduction to the dyeing process.

PATTERN PLAY

She explained various folding and tying styles to create eye-catching patterns using natural indigo dye and turmeric, transforming plain fabric into unique works of art. 

EARTHLY ELEGANCE

These eco-conscious practices demonstrating art and nature can be both beautiful and environmentally responsible.

SUSTAINABLE STAINING

Puja’s eco-printing process is entirely free from chemical-based products, a conscious choice she is proud of.

ARTY ENDEAVOURS

The workshop concluded with each participant proudly taking home their own dyed tote bag and scarf or kerchief, showcasing their creativity and new skills.
