Goa's first Cashew Fest began on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the DB Grounds, in Campal, Panjim.
The two-day fest has been organised by the Goa Forest Development Corporation Limited (GFDC) and aims to promote the cashew fruit, which is an integral part of Goa's culture.
The event is a showcase of all things cashew, and includes workshops, lectures and a display of products made from cashews.
A number of food and drink stalls have been put up which have a tempting array of products that visitors can try out.
You can get your hands on some fine local handicrafts available at the venue.
The fest provides an opportunity to highlight the versatility of the delicious tropical fruit, while also advancing the interests of local farmers and communities connected with cashew cultivation.
During the fest, there will also be sessions on the innovative use of the cashew as well as how this resource can be fully tapped.
