October 1 saw the launch and signing of Heritage of Defence Goa 1510 – 1660 by Nuno Lopes. The event was held at Camões - Centro de Língua Portuguesa between 11 am and 12.30 pm in Panjim.
The release of the book was followed by a conversation with Amita Kanekar and Walter Rossa.
The panel consisted of five people: Frederick Noronha, Nuno Lopes, Delfim Correia Da Silva, Amita Kanekar and Walter Rossa.
The panelists shed light on interesting facts about the Portuguese heritage in Goa!
Walter Rossa and the panel had a light interactive session and answered questions asked by the audience. They spoke about an underground tunnel, forts, defence and architecture in Goa.
The event began with conversations, questions and opinions and ended in information, smiles and copies of Heritage of Defence Goa 1510 – 1660 being signed.
The event ended with some words of advice by Delfim Correia Da Silva who suggested that "we should all go on small adventures, ditch vehicles and explore more of Goa and its beautiful heritage on our two feet".
