The monsoons have finally arrived in Goa, and the incessant rains have made venturing outdoors impossible! So, why not have fun indoors, instead.

1. SOUP FOR THE SOUL

Why get drenched in the pouring rain outside when you could be cosy indoors, relishing a nice bowl of hot soup as you watch the pouring rain from your window.

2. GOA IN A BOOK

Who says you have to be outdoors to learn about the place? This monsoon, pore over a book about Goa and discover something new about this lovely state. There's a lot to explore from black and white, too!

3. GET COOKING

Join a Goan cooking class, or grab a readymade local masala, and for a change, rustle up a Goan dish rather than eating out.

4. LOCAL THEATRE

Ditch Netflix this monsoon, and indulge in some lively Goan theatre (tiatr). These are staged regularly at several venues in the state. Alternatively, there are OTT platforms where you can get to watch these dramas, too.

5. PLAY ON

Love music? Learn to play the ghumot, the Goan percussion instrument. It may not seem like much, but learn it, and soon you will be grooving to the beat!
