Panjim's famed shopping street, the 18th June Road, continues to face the ignominy of flooding even if it pours heavily for 10 minutes only.

On October 28, late evening, it was no different when the relentless downpour highlighted the harsh reality of nature.

As the onslaught of rain continued, frustrated motorists found the navigating through the street a tough proposition.

The street transformed into a waterfront with the sidewalks flooded. The shoppers faced an ordeal as they had to wade through the water-logged street amidst pouring rain.

However, there were some who welcomed the rain embracing the downpour with smiles and splashed through the water with childlike joy.
