1. BEACHES

Explore the beautiful beaches of Goa such as the popular Calangute, Baga, and Sinquerim beaches in the north, and less-crowded ones like Varca, Agonda and Velsao beach in the south.

2. FORTS

Laden with history, exploring Goa's massive forts makes for quite an adventure. Reis Magos, Cabo de Rama and Aguada fort are worth checking out.

3. CHURCHES

Pay a visit to the churches of Old Goa which showcase some fine European architecture. This is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

4. TEMPLES

Many of Goa's temples, especially those in Ponda Taluka, display some stunning craftsmanship.

5. VILLAGES

Done with beaches? Goa's villages and hinterlands are a picturesque sight which need to be seen to be believed. And, their lush green landscape during the monsoons will leave you awestruck.

6. FESTIVALS

As the week comes to an end, Divar Island will celebrate the festival of Malar Bonderam on August 17. This 'festival of flags' features colourful traditional parades and musical shows, and anyone and everyone is welcome to witness the celebrations.
