This episode of ‘Goa In a Min’ takes us to one of the most beautiful spots in North Goa, Dona Paula. This spot is renowned for its mesmerising vistas.
Remember the iconic fight scene from the Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham? It was filmed at Dona Paula jetty, our first destination. Beyond its cinematic fame, Dona Paula is a chill tourist hub celebrated for its rocky beach. Visitors can immerse themselves in browsing through stalls showcasing an array of handicrafts, beachwear, and sarongs.
For thrill-seekers, the jetty offers exhilarating water sports experiences such as kayaking and water skiing.
Our next destination is Raj Bhavan, which is the Governor’s Palace. Occasionally, special tours are granted access to explore the palace's grandeur.
Close to it lies the British cemetery, a poignant reminder of British influence in Goa, during the Portuguese rule. The oldest tomb here dates back to 1808.
Next on our adventure is Vainguinim beach, just a stone's throw from Dona Paula circle. This serene beach provides an idyllic setting for sunbathing and unwinding by the sea. Conveniently situated near the beach are several hotels, ensuring a comfortable stay for travellers.
