Sporting Clube De Goa will face Ambelim Sports Club in the final of the Goa State Association's first state futsal championship. The final will be played at the Chowgule Futsal Arena at Ghogal-Madgaon on Sunday. In the semi-finals on Tuesday, Sporting defeated Santacruz Club Kelshi 8-2 while Ambelim Sports Club defeated Shirvade Sports Club 4-1.
The first goal for Sporting was scored by Marcus Mascarenhas followed by Clive Miranda. After Lloyd Cardoz scored the team's third goal in the second half, Marcus scored two more goals in a row to give Sporting a five-goal lead. Klusner Pereira then scored the first goal for Kelshi.
Marcus was unstoppable in the semis as he scored his fourth goal in the match. Sporting’s Clive Miranda scored Kelshi’s second goal through a blunderous own goal. Lloyd completed the hat-trick with two goals in a row and sealed Sporting's place in the final with a scoreline of 8-2.
In the other semi-final, Ronaldo Pereira’s two goals for Ambelim to defeat Shirwade 4-2. Dominic Suvaris also scored for Ambeli. But their fourth goal was scored by Shirwade’s Frendon Pierce who scored an own goal. Romario da Costa scored the only goal for Shirwade.
