Panaji Footballers entered the final of the 17th Goa Police Cup Football Tournament with a 2-0 victory over Calangute Association at Duler Stadium in Mapusa on Friday, Novemeber 20.
The match started slowly as both teams failed to score in the first. But in the second half, Panaji Footballers opened the floodgates and scored first. Pandurang Gavas broke the deadlock in the 54th minute. Soon, in the 60th minute, Irfan Yadav continued his incredible goal scoring form as he doubled the Panaji lead.
Panaji Footballers will face Dempo Sports Club in the tournament's final on Wednesday, 24 November.
