MSC Cup 2022 championship begins in Goa

Goan players compete with national champs in the tourney

The 5th edition of the MSC Cup 2022 All India Invitational Table tennis Championship began on Friday, June 24, 2022, with ace national players competing with top Goan players. The championship has been organized by the Miramar Sports Club (MSC), in association with the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG), and will be held from June 24 to June 28, at the Peddem Indoor Stadium, Mapusa.

Miramar Sports Club President, Joel Andrade, briefed the media about the MSC Cup 2022 on Thursday. “The tournament will feature national doubles champion, Saurav Saha, in the senior category. The 2019 national champions, Arjun Ghosh and Rakshit Barigdad, who is the top player from Karnataka, will also participate in the tournament. These top players will compete with top Goan players such as Dheeraj Rai, Anshuman Agrawal, Noel Noronha, Prutha Parrikar, and other players. Around 60 Goan players will compete for the top prizes in the tournament,” he said.

“The tournament is divided into five different categories – Open Teams, Open Singles, Open Doubles, Open U-15 Teams, and Open U-15 Singles. Matches will start at 10 am and conclude at 6 pm in the evening,” said Andrade.
