Goa will kick off its Ranji Trophy campaign on 17 February, 2022. Goa, who are in Group D, will straightaway face a big challenge with Odisha, followed by 41-time champions Mumbai on February 24 and defending champions on March 3.

The Goan team has played three matches against Odisha, where they have lost twice and have had one draw.

Against Saurashtra, Goa has a record of one win, one loss, two draws in four matches while Goa will go head to head against Mumbai for the first time in Ranji Trophy history.

All matches of the Elite D group will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad. The Goan team will arrive in Ahmedabad on Thursday, 10 February. After a five-day quarantine, there will be a practice session on the 15 and 16 February.

The marquee domestic competition Ranji Trophy was not held last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Also, it was set to begin on January 13 but it was once again postponed due to the third wave of Covid-19.
