Goa Futsal Championship: Ambelim Sports Club and Panaji footballers dominate day one

In the second match of the day, the Panajim Footballers had taken a one-goal lead at halftime thanks to Clifton Ribello’s goal. After the break, Clifton consolidated the Panaji lead by scoring his second goal.

Ambelim Sports Club defeated SCC Cavelossim 6-3 while Panjim Footballers had a comfortable 5-2 victory over Goa Velha Sports Club in the second match of in the Goa Football Association State Futsal Championship, at Chowgule Futsal Arena on Thursday.

The Ambelim team scored three goals in a row thanks to Ronaldo Pereira's double in the seventh minute. Myron Perera's goal gave Ambelli a 3-0 lead in the ninth minute. Stephen then scored the fourth goal. 

Then Santacruz’s Klausner Pereira and Laxman Thapa scored one goal each to reduce the four-goal deficit. Ambelim was leading 4-2 in the first half. After the break, Dominic Suvaris added a fifth goal to Ambelim's account. Bersal Viegas then scored Santacruz’s third goal but Stephen sealed Ambeli's victory by scoring his second goal of the match.

In the second match of the day, the Panajim Footballers had taken a one-goal lead at halftime thanks to Clifton Ribello’s goal. After the break, Clifton consolidated the Panaji lead by scoring his second goal. 

Then Alan Pishot's double gave the Panjim Footballers a 4-0 lead. Finally, Goa Velha's Frankie Cabral and Sairaj Chodankar reduced the lead to 2-4. But Clifton completed his hattrick and sealed a 5-2 victory for the Panaji footballers.
