U-25 State A Trophy: Goa enters the knockout stage

Goa will face Tamil Nadu in the pre-quarterfinals at the Alur Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru.

The Goa cricket team has reached the knockout stage of the men's U-25 State A Trophy after the cancellation of games due to rain on Friday, 26 November.

All teams playing on Friday were awarded two points, cementing Goa's second-place finish in group B. Punjab topped the group with 16 points and reached the quarterfinals, whereas Goa qualified for the pre-quarterfinals with 12 points.

The knockout stage of the tournament will be played in Bengaluru starting from 3 December. The Goa team will now travel directly from Puducherry to Bengaluru. Goa will take on Tamil Nadu in the semi-finals at the Alur Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru.

Promotion for Suyash Prabhudessai

The Goa U-25 captain Suyash Prabhudessai has been called up for the Vijay Hazare Trophy in December. The Goa Cricket Association secretary Vipul Phadke confirmed Suyash's call up for the senior division tournament, starting on 8 December. Suyash Prabhudessai was in great batting form scoring two crucial half-centuries in the U-25 State A trophy.
