The Goa boys' and girls' teams dominate in the Under-14 Mini National Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament in Tamil Nadu.
In the girls' group, Goa defeated Tamil Nadu in the first match. The hosts scored 36 runs in 6 overs. Goa's Riya Malvankar three took three wickets. In the second innings, Arya Parab's unbeaten 18 and Tanisha Naik's unbeaten 7 helped Goa win the match in two overs.
In the second match, Goa defeated Andhra Pradesh. Andhra scored 45 runs in 6 overs. Tanisha took two wickets while Arya Parab and Riya Malvankar also took one wicket each. Riya (9), Arya (7) and Sawani (7) helped Goa to victory in four overs.
The Goa boys' team defeated the Andaman team. Subodh Naik's 32 and Sahil Parodkar's 21 helped Goa score 78 runs in 6 overs. While chasing, Andaman was bundled or 47 runs. Goa's Sahil took two wickets while Subodh and Deep Shetty took one wicket each.
In the next match, Goa batted first against Andhra and scored 74 for 4 in 6 overs. Subodh Naik was the pick of the batters with a 23 run knock. Sahil also scored 21 runs alongside Saish Naik's 12 runs. Andhra Pradesh could only manage 34 for 4 in the stipulated six overs. Viraj Tari and Deep took one wicket each.
